Welcome to the Mater Dei Council 9774. Chartered in 1988 in Rockville, Maryland, our council is a vibrant brotherhood of over 200 members dedicated to the principles of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity. We are part of the world’s premier lay Catholic men’s organization, empowered to build stronger families, parishes, and communities.
Who We Are
Mater Dei Council 9774 is one of more than 16,000 Knights of Columbus councils worldwide. Our members are Catholic men who lead with faith, protect their families, and serve their neighbors. Whether through our monthly meetings on the second Thursday of every month at 7:30 pm or our major annual fundraisers, we strive to be “Christ’s hands and feet” for the vulnerable in our community. We are honored to serve three Parishes and its surrounding area: St. Raphael’s, Our Lady of Mercy and St. Elizabeth.
Our Impact at a Glance

Charity: We support local initiatives like Pregnancy Centers, St. Vincent de Paul, Special Olympics, and other organizations that assist persons with special needs.

Community: Our signature events include the Garage-to-Attic charity sale, Tootsie Roll Campaign and the Sweepstake Tickets for Scholarship fund.

Faith & Family: We host the Keep Christ in Christmas Poster Contest, organize the celebration of the Solemnity of St. Joseph and lead the St. Raphael’s Men’s Fellowship.
