Box of Joy – November 6

The Knights of Columbus Mater Dei Council is participating
in the Box of Joy Program thru Cross Catholic Outreach, which provides families
with an inspiring opportunity to send gifts to Haiti, Guatemala and other
developing countries. A Box of Joy is a Christmas shoe box, donated and packed
with toys, clothing, school supplies, and hygiene items by participants from
U.S. parishes, schools and groups. Each gift represents Christ’s love and may
be the only Christmas gift children in developing countries are blessed to
receive. The Mater Dei Council Charities, Inc. (MDCC) will fund this initiative,
but you can help make this year’s effort a success by making a voluntary cash
donation to (MDCC) to help with paying for the gifts, shipping and packaging
costs. We are also calling on families to help with packaging the boxes and
personalizing them for the children.
